Accommodation

Accommodation options at Kaliandra are varied to cater towards all kinds of visitors and range from our luscious forest lodges in our Hastinapura complex each sleeping up to 6 people, to our dorm-style buildings and guesthouses in our Bharatapura complex. The dorms hold between 4 - 50 people in each and the guesthouses sleep up to 12 persons. All of our structures have been built and decorated with traditional Javanese architecture in mind, lending themselves to exquisite woodwork and carving. Hastinapura can hold up to 30 guests and Bharatapura can accommodate a total of 100 guests plus extra beds in some of the rooms.

Both areas are unique in their own splendid ways and each have their own facilities to cater for our guests, with Hastinapura providing for our vacation guests, corporate events and seminars, and Bharatapura providing mainly for training and education groups.

In our forest lodges you will find a large, comfortable, double bed complete with large veranda doors opening up to an environmental world of flora and fauna. On the ground floor, a large sleeping area for up to four people can be found and your fully-equipped bathroom with large open shower and outdoor bathtub to enjoy a relaxing soak open to all the elements of nature but with absolute privacy from other guests (Each lodge also has an additional toilet and sink). Each lodge provides ample living space in the generously-sized lounge opening onto your own terrace complete with lounge chairs – perfect for that late afternoon reading time or just to relax with a soothing cup of rosella tea. Tea and coffee supplies and water are provided to you room for you and your guests to enjoy complimentary.

Restaurants

We have two restaurants across our 16-hectare complex, one in Hastinapura and the other in Bharatapura. Hastinapura hosts our Roro Ireng Restaurant, providing delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner and all-day beverages to our forest lodge guests. Our restaurant prides itself in its use of organic fruits and vegetables grown right here in our Kaliandra gardens with all meat and fish sourced only from local suppliers. Delight in our esteemed service as our waiters fulfill all your needs and why not sample our organic juices and smoothies made from our home-grown seasonal fruits. Accompanying our Bharatapura accommodation is the Penanggungan Restaurant serving homestyle cooked organic meals buffet-style to your group. Your food is prepared in our open plan kitchen over wood fires and still with all the quality and fine Javanese tastes you would expect from your home away from home in the Mount Arjuna foothills. Meetings

At Kaliandra we have also developed a number of large outdoor covered 'Pendopo' auditoriums, available for hire and with a maximum capacity of 100 persons in each. Why not host your next meeting or seminar in incomparable surroundings, deep in the heart of the Mount Arjuna forests overlooking lush tropical vegetation. Combine your seminar with dinner in our restaurant and an overnight stay in our lodges and you have created an unforgettable corporate event. Two of these meeting spaces are provided in Hastinapura and the third in Bharatapura. Numerous facilities are available with hire of our outdoor meeting rooms including LCD data projector, sound system, whiteboards etc. You may even hire our gamelan team for some afternoon entertainment.
